Hip Hip Hooray!

Its the big day and I've already smiled quite a few times, and hopefully a few more. There is something magical about birthdays, that reminds me of being a kid. I have always loved June 4th for that very reason. I'll admit on my 11th, I desperately hoped to get a letter and I still hope. It's one of the reasons 11 is my favourite number and why I wish every single time I see 11:11. I like finding the little magic in every day, that makes us beam ear to ear. A tickle fight, dancing around in your room, buying a gorgeous birthday girl dress, a cuddle with your puppy with her spastic tail, and realising that life can be so damn good if you let it be that way.

So Happy Birthday to Me :D

Alright now...

I'm ready to move forward, smiling. And hey, its my birthday soon so maybe I'll get spoiled a little bit. ♥

Thank you for being in my life this past year. Thanks for cheering me up when I was down. Thanks for making me laugh at your ridiculous jokes. Thanks for letting me listen to music other than screaming voices. Thanks for teaching me the difference between a Corolla and Camry and which car is a girl's Lancer. Thanks for driving me everywhere and only teasingly complaining. Thanks for signing online when I text you.

To Beautiful Beautiful girl who makes me smile :) This post is dedicated to you because you check this all the time. So I'm going to (try, keyword here is try) to not tell you that I have posted this and instead I would like you to tell me when you get this. Because we all need a few little surprises to keep us smiling. So I suppose I should narrow down who this post is for, though anyone who is reading this is pretty special. This post, though, is in particular to someone who I have known for just over five years now - wow! And pretty much since day one has been one of my best friends. She is always there for a shoulder to cry on, there to keep me entertained with her stories - pancake queen, bottle/orange/and others :P. Thank you for understanding me and answering my worries. You are truly one of the best friends a girl can have. I cannot wait till you get your tush down here and we have these chats watching movies. I love you to bits, gorgeous girl! ♥

how to smile

I'm liking my new way of thinking - focusing on the good things :) Here's today's recipe for smiles:

-hanging out with Emma guessing Harry Potter characters

- laughing at Elle chewing apart her own leash

- Kit staying back an extra hour just to see me

-going to the movies with your best friend, Emma

- having your husband put you up as your profile picture. If you dont get how I have a boyfriend AND a husband - you dont know me at all :)

- finding out a long-lost friend who you havent seen in 4 years is coming to town

- wearing a massive jumper/sweater that makes you think of a friend overseas

-wearing a ribbon that reminds you of a loved one

- making new friends who understand you

- driving to uni

Just Smile

I just found the happiest little collection of doodles that make me smile so I'm spreading the joy of looking at them. So if you want to smile, go to Happy Monsters. This is the best one of all because, let's face it - we are alive so lets enjoy it! :) Mel and I, just trying to make everyone smile :) I cannot wait for holidays, esp as I get two weeks off work as well. While I love my job, holidays = awesome!

Today is my very last shift before the school holidays and I'm rather excited! haha Plus the last five minutes of each class will be spent taking the kids to the diving boards and getting them to jump! Plus then they get little easter eggs. It is so rewarding when the kids say thanks and their parents come up to you and say thank you for such a great term. Sent a text to Kaz yesterday telling her how much I love her and that I'm there for her no matter what- so if you are reading this, know that! Do you know what I love - baby animals! I'm looking at a photo of baby Mali, the elephant - so cute when we went and saw her awhile ago with Annabella.

I'm really excited about Arts Ball! Kit is coming with me, which makes me really happy. We are going with my friends but hopefully some of our other friends will be there too. No idea what I will wear though, just hoping it will be a really fun night surrounded by some of my favourite people, esp as Courtney will be there. I wish a few more could be there, but we can't have everything can we? :P Otherwise, what would be the point of dreams and wishes?

Love is...

Its the little things they say

A little heart I spotted in the concrete on my way to work, while singing along to "White Houses ".

It is days like this that let you believe in the world, how its a good place. I mean, Im not naive enough to think that it always is, but i think that each one of us needs to find the good in everyday to make it through. We all deserve to be happy and it is up to us to be happy. No one has the right to deny that from you. I know for some its hard and that its because of a whole range of circumstances, but you can still find the light in the bleak if you try. Family, friends, love, sunshine, laughter are what you need. Food can be great but it cant console you and listen to you late at night when you desperatly need someone to listen how much of an asshole your boyfriend is. Not that mine is if you are reading this - you are amazing. You spoil me in ways that you don't even know. A stolen kiss here and there. A surprise hug. Picking me up and swinging me around. Its what I always used to say- small things amuse small minds, but it really is the small things that make a day great :)

Ye of little faith

I believe in:

- the Universe and if you let the dice fall, life will happen. Many things will occur no matter what. One door shuts, another opens. I truly believe that everything leads to something else. Like when you hear a song or word for the first time and then all of a SUDDEN, its everywhere and you don't know how you could have missed it before. I also believe that we go through the bad to get to the good. And that one thing will lead to another, if you let life happen, sometimes you will be surprised.

- Family, they are the greatest force for good that there is. It is just that simple. I'm so incredibly lucky to have the family that I do, and they are perfect for me. They not only brought me up but they are part of who I am. I couldn't exist without my neighbours from down the hall, my parents, my dogs and my gorgeous sister - who was better than me today, and I am proud of her, even if I suck at showing it. I may make up the rules, but at least you always play with me :)

- Friends, they become part of your family so when there is disturbance in the happiness, it hurts, but you learn to perserve and just always hope for a happier day like today. Happy Birthday to one of my bestest friends, Courtney. You kept me sane in year 12, with our fangirling and what not. You may always beat me in knowing stuff about a show/movie but at least i keep up :)

- Sunny days, they make me feel giddy with happiness when I can't see a cloud in the sky. Being able to lie in the sun, soaking up its rays of happiness (so long as its only for a bit s don't go lobster red).

- the smell of fresh grass after a rain storm. It makes me feel alive and renewed. It is one of my favourite smells along with frangianis, roses and jasmine.

- Fairies, dont say you don't because another fairy in Neverland will fall down, and you better not get Tink again!

- Teddy Bears, if you know me well enough, you will know why I believe in them.

- Clean Rooms, because even though I hate cleaning them, they make me feel so happy and organised when I do it.

- Love, beacuse lets face it, love actaully is all around and makes the world go round.

Writing

How is it you can make me happy with a few words and but then make me unhappy with even less words?


If you know anything about me, you know that my secret desire is to be a published author. Why? Because I would love to give at least on person a special moment of reading just like my favourite authors have for me. If I can't do that, I want to be a part of the process behind a book - publishing. I love coming up with ideas in my head and taking pen to paper as the ideas gush out of me.

Ping Pong Balls ATTACK!

Here I go again, posting some random thoughts of the day. I wish a certain person was in Melbourne tonight, cos I miss him. I also miss my gorgeous best friend who isnt here at the moment. If Kaz reads this, know that I am thinking of you always, and like you said, I'm always here to pick up all your pieces, because I know you would do it for me. Because remember,

Massive storms here today - it sounded like ping pong balls attacking the roof of the pool! it was crazy, all the kids and parents got out of the pool to go look. There was hail the size of GOLF balls! C'est incroyable. That is all I have to say right now, other than I love skype :D

hello world

I have no idea if anyone will ever read this, because no one knows that I'm blogging again. And who knows how long this will be for. I just feel like writing. If you do stumble across this, let me know. I'm so tired at the moment, but I tried to go have a nap, and I cant seem to fall asleep, which is rather annoying cos that is all I want to do right now. My first few days back at uni have been really good - trying to get the balance right - its okay so far! Finally someone thinks we are cute. Its kinda all ive wished for for awhile. Just a shout out to everyone who has said hi, or even just recognised me and smiled in the last few days. Those are reasons why I love being a second year so far. Donc, je voudrais aller a mon lit parce que je suis tres fatigue! Bonne nuit tout le monde!
